WEATHER – temperatures in New Orleans in late September are still warm - averaging in the mid 80's in the daytime and 70’s nighttime.
AIRPORT OPTION - the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) services New Orleans. The airport is about 15 miles from the Hyatt Centric hotel.
Public Transportation - In addition to taxis and rideshare services, New Orleans offers diverse transportation options, primarily managed by the New Orleans Rapid Transit Authority (RTA), including iconic streetcars, buses, and ferries. For information about the RTA, visit www.norta.com.
AUTO TRAVEL – if you are driving or renting a car, The hotel's address is 800 Iberville Street, New Orleans, LA 70112. Parking at the hotel is $45.00/day. There is also nearby parking garages with similar rates of $40-$45/ day.

Mississippi River Cruise
Sail down the Mississippi River on a classic Paddle-wheeler for a New Orleans river cruise. Enjoy illuminating narration from the onboard historian and stop part-way through the trip to learn about the Battle of New Orleans at the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. Here you can tour the Chalmette Battlefield, including the Malus-Beauregard House and the Chalmette Monument. The meeting location to board is a .8 mile walk from the hotel. Walk or take a rideshare to 1 Poydras Street to board the boat. The tour cost is $42.00 per person.

Take a carriage ride through the historic neighborhoods of the French Quarter and the Marigny neighborhood. Sit back and relax while your carriage driver unfolds 300+ years of history. Sometimes scandalous - always remarkable-historic stories on your mule-drawn carriage ride. We cover the storied history of New Orleans, discussing everything from our resilient culture to the beautiful architecture. The meeting point to board is .6 miles from the hotel. Walk or rideshare to 700 Decatur Street to board your carriage. The tour cost is $60.00 per person.
Bus tour to Mardi Gras World and the surrounding area
The tour begins with a pickup at the hotel with a private taxi to and the Mardi Gras World for a tour of everything that makes New Orleans the place to be to experience Mardi Gras. Learn about the history of Mardi Gras. The cost of your entry ticket is included. Private taxi back to the hotel. The tour cost is $46.00 per person.
